  • General Intelligence & Reasoning: Analogies, similarities and differences, space visualization, spatial orientation, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, verbal and figure classification, number series, non-verbal series, coding-decoding, statement conclusion, syllogism and Venn diagrams.
  • General Awareness: Current events; India and neighbouring countries; history, culture, geography, economic scene, general policy and scientific research; everyday scientific observations.
  • Quantitative Aptitude / Mathematical Abilities: Number systems, decimals and fractions, percentages, ratio and proportion, square roots, averages, interest, profit and loss, discount, partnership, mixture and allegation, time and distance, time and work, algebra, geometry, mensuration, trigonometry, charts and basic statistics.
  • English Language & Comprehension: Vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms, correct usage, comprehension and writing ability at the prescribed level.
  • Computer Knowledge: Computer basics, CPU, input/output devices, memory, Windows, MS Office, internet and e-mail, networking, cyber security and common computer terminology.
  • Statistics – JSO: Collection, classification and presentation of data; measures of central tendency; dispersion; moments, skewness and kurtosis; correlation and regression; probability theory; random variables; sampling; statistical inference; analysis of variance; time series and index numbers.
  • Finance & Economics: Fundamental principles of accounting, financial accounting, economics basics, Comptroller and Auditor General, finance commission, basic economic concepts, demand and supply, production and market forms, Indian economy, economic reforms, money and banking, public finance and government budget.

Selection Process

Tier-I → Tier-II → qualifying Computer/DEST requirements and post-specific modules → document verification → final allocation/merit as per SSC rules.
