General Studies & Engineering Aptitude: Current issues of national and international importance relating to social, economic and industrial development; logical reasoning and analytical ability; engineering mathematics and numerical analysis; general principles of design, drawing and safety; standards and quality practices; energy and environment; project management; material science; ICT and engineering ethics.
Civil Engineering: Engineering mechanics; structural analysis; construction materials and management; concrete technology; steel structures; fluid mechanics; hydraulics; hydrology; irrigation; environmental engineering; geotechnical engineering; transportation engineering; surveying and geoinformatics.
Mechanical Engineering: Engineering mechanics; material science; thermodynamics; heat transfer; IC engines; refrigeration and air conditioning; turbomachines; power plant engineering; manufacturing; machine design; industrial engineering and production management.
Electrical Engineering: Electrical circuits and fields; signals and systems; electrical materials; measurements; computer fundamentals; power systems; machines; power electronics and drives; analog/digital electronics; control systems; microprocessors; communication basics.
