National Overseas Scholarship 2026-27 – Study Abroad Scholarship

National Overseas Scholarship (NOS) provides financial assistance to eligible low-income meritorious students from specified communities for Master's or PhD study abroad.

• The official NOS portal states that the first-round 2026-27 registration window closed on 2 June 2026. Do not show this post as 'Apply Now' unless a new registration window is officially opened.

• The 2026-27 NOS guidelines are available on the official portal. Students should read the latest guidelines before preparing documents.

Important Dates:
Selection Year 2026-27 first-round applications were accepted from 24 April 2026 to 2 June 2026. A correction window was provided from 4 June to 7 June 2026; no new registrations were allowed during correction. Check the NOS portal for the next round/notice.

Eligibility:
• Eligible low-income candidates from communities/categories covered by the current NOS guidelines.
• Eligible Master's/PhD course and foreign university requirements must be met.
• Academic, age, income, admission-offer and other conditions apply as per 2026-27 guidelines.

How to Apply:
Check the NOS portal for the current selection round → register when the fresh registration window opens → enter academic, category, income and admission details → upload documents → submit application → follow selection and further Ministry instructions.

Benefits:
Financial assistance for eligible overseas Master's/PhD studies, including tuition, maintenance and other admissible allowances as per current guidelines. Funds are handled through the scheme's prescribed process.

Passport, academic certificates/marksheets, admission offer, category/community certificate, income certificate, age proof, bank details and other documents required by the NOS guidelines.
