PM-USP Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students (CSSS) is a merit-cum-means scholarship for meritorious students from low-income families who are pursuing regular higher education.

- 2026-27 dates should be checked on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP). Fresh and renewal dates may be different.

- Application Fee: Nil / No fee.
Eligibility
- • Candidate should meet the Class XII merit/percentile condition prescribed by the scheme.
- • Must be studying in a recognised regular degree course.
- • Family income must be within the prescribed limit.
- • Candidate must satisfy the scholarship/other-benefit restrictions.
- • Renewal requires the prescribed academic performance.
Important Note
- Apply only through the official NSP. Exact 2026-27 opening and closing dates should be checked on the portal before applying.

- For 2026-27, publish as 'Application Schedule – Check NSP' until the official window is confirmed.

Benefits:
Scholarship assistance is provided as per the current PM-USP guidelines. Payment is made through the Government DBT/PFMS process to the eligible student's bank account.

Aadhaar, Class XII marksheet, admission/bonafide proof, income certificate, bank details, category certificate where applicable and documents asked by NSP/institute.
