ℹ️ Short Information

Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR), Kalpakkam, under the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India, has released the official notification for the engagement of Trade Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961. A total of 200 Trade Apprentice vacancies have been announced in various ITI trades. Eligible ITI pass candidates can apply online from 20 July 2026 to 19 August 2026. Candidates should read the complete notification carefully before submitting the online application.

ITI Pass Certificate (NCVT/SCVT) in the Relevant Trade.
Age Limit (As on 19 August 2026)
Minimum Age : 18 Years
Maximum Age : 24 Years
Age Relaxation

PwBD : 10 Years

Important Instructions

Candidates must register on Apprenticeship India Portal before applying.
Only one trade can be selected.
Candidates who have already completed or are undergoing apprenticeship training are not eligible.
Hostel accommodation may be provided on a chargeable basis, subject to availability.
Completion of apprenticeship does not guarantee employment at IGCAR.
Selected apprentices must qualify in the Trade Test to receive the National Apprenticeship Certificate.
