🎓 Age Limit & Eligibility

1. Visit the official RRB application portal at rrbapply.gov.in.
2. Create an Account / use your existing RRB account credentials.
3. Read CEN No. 02/2026 and all relevant annexures carefully.
4. Select the appropriate Pay Level and one RRB as prescribed.
5. Enter your personal, educational, technical and communication details.
6. Select the applicable post/category and Railway/PU preferences.
7. Complete Aadhaar/DigiLocker authentication where applicable.
8. Upload the required live photograph, signature and documents as instructed.
9. Pay the applicable examination fee.
10. Carefully verify all details before final submission.
11. Submit the application before 29 July 2026 at 11 : 59 PM.
12. Download and save/print the final submitted application for future reference.

⚠️ Important Instructions

1. Read the complete CEN No. 02/2026 and all annexures before applying.
2. Candidates must possess the prescribed qualification on or before the closing date.
3. Candidates waiting for final results of the required qualification are not eligible.
4. A separate application must be submitted for each Pay Level because separate CBTs will be conducted for each Pay Level.
5. Candidates should choose only one RRB in a given Pay Level.
6. More than one application for the same Pay Level may lead to rejection and debarment.
7. Vacancies are provisional and may increase, decrease or become NIL according to Railway requirements.
8. Candidates must satisfy the prescribed medical standards.
9. CBT date will be communicated later through official RRB websites.
10. Modification of submitted application details is permitted during the specified modification window with applicable fee.

Candidates will be shortlisted for Document Verification and Medical Examination based on merit in CBT, RRB-wise and as per the vacancy position. Normalization will be applied for CBTs conducted in multiple shifts. There is no separate interview stage.

Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs), Ministry of Railways, Government of India, have released Centralised Employment Notification CEN No. 02/2026 for recruitment of Technician Grade-I Signal and various Technician Grade-III categories.
A total of 6,557 vacancies have been notified across various Railway Zones and Production Units.

Technician Grade-I Signal is Pay Level-5 with an initial basic pay of ₹29,200/-. Technician Grade-III is Pay Level-2 with an initial basic pay of ₹19,900/-.
Age as on 01 July 2026 :
Technician Grade-I Signal – 18 to 33 years.
Technician Grade-III – 18 to 30 years.
Educational qualification :
Grade-I Signal requires prescribed B.Sc., Diploma or Degree qualifications in relevant streams.
Grade-III requires Matriculation / 10th plus ITI or prescribed Act Apprenticeship in relevant trades.
Selection consists of Computer Based Test, Document Verification and Medical Examination.
CBT consists of 100 questions for 100 marks with 90 minutes duration. There is negative marking of 1/3 mark for every wrong answer.
